Genre: Southern Gospel
Influences:
The Downings, The Happy Goodmans, Amy Grant, Twila Paris were early influences. Rhonda has a lot of "musical respect" for and has been influenced by the musical talents of Elton John, the Eagles, Whitney Houston and Don Henley from the secular world. Anyone that has "Crabb" attached to their name, Allison Durham Speer, Michael English, Austin's Bridge, Michael W. Smith and Kari Jobe are some of Rhonda's favorite artists now. She loves all kinds of music and the variety for different styles of music is displayed in her song writing.
Sounds Like:
Many say Rhonda's clear and sweet voice is comparable to Twila Paris. Mike Allen compared Rhonda's voice to Olivia Newton John's at Allison Durham Speer's 2009 Elijah Conference.

About Rhonda Frye
Rhonda Frye is a singer/song writer from Ringgold, GA. She released her first album spring of 2009 entitled "Second Chances" featuring her original songs. Her recording was made and mastered at Sound Resources, produced by world known Steve Babb and Fred Schendel.

Rhonda's style varies from southern gospel, praise and worship to contemporary, but her clear, sweet voice is unforgettable. Her sincere disposition, love for God and love for people radiates as she performs. Her lyrics are heartwarming and her voice is soothing. When Rhonda sings, it is apparent that God has anointed her to touch and warm the hearts of His children. Rhonda truly has an amazing musical gift to share.

In addition to song writing, performing and ministering, she writes monthly articles for Scoops magazine- owned by Rob Patz, Coastal Media. She teaches her Christian based preschool music program at a few local daycares and preschools. She is a minister of music and associate pastor at Rockpointe Worship Center in Rossville, GA. At Rockpointe, she leads worship from her keyboard, directs the band/praise team, teaches an adult Bible study and supports the senior pastor. Rhonda's ministry support team is her husband of the last 21 years, Eric and their three beautiful children: Jesse, Allison and Austin.

"Grateful" is an understatement for how she feels about what God has done in her life. Psalm 40:1-3 is an accurate reflection of her heart and best describes why she writes and sings.

"I waited patiently for the Lord to help me,
and he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the pit of despair,
out of the mud and the mire.
He set my feet on solid ground
and steadied me as I walked along.
He has given me a NEW SONG to sing,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see what he has done and be amazed.
THEY WILL PUT THEIR TRUST IN THE LORD."
