The travel prices and service they receive are competitive with all the other .. booking engines available such as Travelocity, which we have on website, Orbitz, and Expedia, but differs by providing 60% of the travel commissions generated back to the association or church. As a fundraising program, the impact on an association can be significant. Consider the following facts: Travel is a $1.3 trillion industry in the U.S. alone. 85% of all personal travel is already being booked ... That last figure is very critical in an affinity program. To get the highest level of participation, a program must have two critical characteristics. First, it should not ask individuals to do anything they are uncomfortable doing, and second, it should not ask them to do more than they already do. Now consider the last statistic above: 85% of all personal travel is already being booked ... This is certainly something people are comfortable with and something they are already doing. An organization is simply saying to its members and supporters, "All we are asking is that instead of booking your travel with someone else, book it with us. You will get the same prices or better and you will be helping a cause that you believe in." This simple shift by individuals can produce a significant and consistent stream of much needed funds for an association or church. And, it is without any additional donations or cost from the participating member and supporter. All commissions are paid by third-party vendors such as cruise lines, hotels, care rental companies and airlines. It is also important to note the program requires virtually no management by the association or church. As an additional service, we also provide a turnkey marketing program for the association to use to promote the Travel Affinity Program and increase the use of the booking engine with its supporters and members.
