Lieutenant Stuart Lyons has a growing son, a fulfilling career, and after years of being a single father, a promising relationship. Aside from being a well-respected veteran law enforcement officer, Stuart doubles as head of security at New Hope Church, a prominent worship center in metropolitan Atlanta.
But sudden pandemonium strikes Stuart's life when he begins receiving threats from an unknown person who only identifies himself as "Dr. A.H. Satan." The faceless stalker knows everything about Stuart: where he lives, where he works, where he worships, who his friends are?and most unsettling of all, the daily whereabouts of his son. In domino fashion, the blocks of the near-perfect life that Stuart has built begin falling, piece by piece.
Bizarre happenings?some explainable and others that yet remain mysteries?have been known to find their way into the lives of many of the residents of the infamous Shelton Heights subdivision. Apparently, it's now Stuart's turn. Will his faith and the prayers of the righteous help put an end to his distress, or will the Legend of Shelton Heights swallow him whole?

A marriage that he'd enjoyed for twelve years suddenly, and seemingly without reason, fell completely apart shortly before his tour in Iraq began and while he's fighting for the faith to trust God and believe that he can come out of captivity alive, Pete knows that if he's victorious in Iraq, he'll still have to battle to win back the wife and daughter that he allowed to walk out of his life.
This Far By Faith (2008)
A collection of three individual short stories surrounding the theme of mother/daughter drama. Kendra's contribution to this anthology is titled "A Cracked Mirror."
About the story: Jaxon Tillman is a righteous man who will do almost anything for his wife. Almost. Although he sympathizes with the scars LaShun still carries as a result of her childhood abandonment, the one thing Jaxon refuses to do is support the long-time abhorrence that LaShun has for her birth mother, former supermodel, Sariah Langston. The world thinks Sariah is as perfect as her flawless face, but unknown to her, the daughter that she rejected is setting out to expose a secret that the mirror doesn't reveal. It'll get much worse before it gets better, but in the end, as always, God will have the last say.
**Other contributing authors to this anthology are Linda Hudson-Smith and Stacy Hawkins Adams.
