Coupe a.k.a. Chase Cooper was born in Boise idaho but moved with his mother to Seattle Washington when he was six months old, after his parents divorced. For the first 5 years of his life he was raised by his grandparents in a trailer park in Woodinville WA because his mother was single and had to work. He and his sister lived with his mother in a trailer across the street in the same neighborhood. When chase got older he started hanging out with the wrong crowd and got into trouble quite often. At a young age he started drinking and doing drugs even though he had grown up in a christian home with a good hard working mother and later in his life his step-father Tony. Everything he was taught in church went in one ear and out the other and he rejected Christ for most of his life. After graduating High school Chase joined the military to make his parents proud of him for once in his life. It was the best and the worst thing that happened to him. Instead of following Christ during that point in his life Chase turned to woman to fill that empty hole he had been searching to fill. He thought that sex would make him a happy person, but instead caused him even more problems. When Chase was 18 he got his first pregnant but she ended up having a miscarriage. The second girl he got pregnant was a long time girlfriend he had in the military but while he was gone for 7 months on deployment she had an abortion without telling him. Finally after he got out of the military he met his wife and they have a 3 year old daughter together and have been married for 3 years. Chase finally got his act together and what drew him to follow the Lord was that beautiful little girl. He knew he had to let his past go and finally fill that emptiness with something that would last and never leave him. Jesus Christ has changed Chase's life and he now has a ministry through music to further the kingdom of God and give youth a positive message that no matter what you go through in life Christ can forgive you of that through his blood shed and you can start over fresh and make something of yourself. Through patience and following Christ Chase has been doing music full time and is working on a project with Zeal Records called "The Bruthas," that will be in stores around the country in March of 08'. The album will hopefully be picked up by a major record label in the near future!
