From My Heart and Soul..the songs on my CD are structered different than most CDs, they are meant to be listened to from beginning to end, not individually.

Each song, each emotion flows from one to another.
Life is just that complex.
Rarely are there stops in our songs of life, they continually play from one to another.

But how do you put into words the many thanks you need to express in your life?
I was born a musician, and I will stay one on the day I meet My Lord face to face.
The songs of my heart are my language of thanks.
And even though there are no words that can truly express how my heart and soul truly feel, I still need to try anyway.

So, first and foremost, I give all glory, honor, and praise to The Holy Trinity!
It seems to many who know me that I seem to overly obsess on the number three.
But there is great reason.
Ever since I was a little boy, I was taught about The Holy Trinity.
The Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit!
I was taught on how to rely on them, and welcome them into my heart and soul totally.
I am shown each day how precious I am to them.
Especially at the times when I'm down or when I turn away.
The Holy Trinity drives my life, and the songs of my soul are for my God!
My Lord has given me a talent and a blessing I do not deserve, but will never stop using to thank Him and praise His name.

Secondly, I need to kneel at the cross, in front of the Son of God, My Sweet Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and thank him as well.

For Jesus is not only the Savior of the world, king of kings, lord of lords, but He is my best friend. He knows my heart's voice.
His Sacred Heart has rescued me more times than there has been rain from heaven, and continues to do so every day of my existence.

I Thank You Jesus and I love You eternally!

So this CD project.
I know so many on here have the benefit of a home studio or even using a professional studio.

I was NOT able to record in that way.
I do not have a recording mixer, board, sound room, etc.
But God has blessed me with an ear and a heart to use.
I simply use one microphone and record one thing at a time.

I do use Cakewalk Sonar.
Since I can not play drums or piano etc....each drum sound or keyboard sound, etc...was recorded one note, beat at a time...and I am able to use my gifts from God...and build, and construct each drum measure, keyboard measure, etc.

The piano/organ sounds are the toughest...I hear a note in my head, and then play along with the recorded track, one note at a time....
Many times taking one note and adding another recorded note to it and a few more to make a chord, create the chord...and insert where needed. same with drums. One sound, snare, then bass drum, then cymbals, etc. and figure the tempo and digitally create one measure.

then go back in and add it all together...it's too hard to really explain....but maybe this helps.
I started this project in 2002...one song Sacred Heart...it has taken me over 4 years to complete.

No fancy mic room...just my son's bedroom...but I experiment with micing the guitar amp always......and the final product even surprised me....but I know God was not....His talent given was used...He knew!

Did the CD layout/design and packaging myself.
So it has been done at almost no cost, except maybe my sanity at times...lol

But God has always been there with me.
Through many tough times.
Especially through one of the toughest times in my life around 3 years ago.

But God knows my heart when others don't, and helps me to understand that.
And His journey is not always a vision I see, and so many times, I struggle against it.

I never dreamed in 2002 I would be where I am in my life right now.
But I PRAISE GOD for His wisdom and guidance to this place!

Track 13.
Earthly Angel (song for Erik)
There is not a day that goes by that I do not think of Erik Davis.
I only knew him from a distance at our church when he was in high school....but Erik battled such a spirit driven battle for his life.
He was so striken by cancer, even doctors had no idea what to do....but he would never let any set backs get him down...how he did that....was with God by his side, to me there is no doubt.
He amazed his mom and family.
The day I heard Erik went to God....I was at church in our band's store room going through chords and repairing stuff. Our pastor came down to tell me...I couldn't work anymore, I had to go home...
His courage was overwhelming to so many.....and especially to me...I left for home...and this song came into my head...I could not get it out.....so I wrote it and it was done that night....I recorded it the next day....in my little studio...nothing fancy...I wanted to get it done quick....I didn't spend time fine tuning or doing a great recording either.....I played from my heart....and a quick mix...I gave the finished CD of this song to his mother the day of his funeral through our pastor....I didn't want to impose....Erik's mother emailed me and told me in person later, she had wished I had been able to finish it earlier and given to her...maybe I could've played it for him at his funeral or at least the CD...but she was more than grateful for it...it still means a lot to her...and she gave her blessing to let the world know...still to this day...I have never sung it live....not sure I can...but I include it here as I know for a fact that Erik is with God....and has been a blessing to my heart with his courage....I can feel that...
I hope you can know him through this song also.
It is the same as it was the moment I finished it...I have not touched any sense....
I hope his courage can touch you....we all have eathly angels among us.....you all have them....don't foget them.....treasure them always...

they are always with you...just look to God and see your angel...a shooting star in heaven.

Bengalli Titilli...(the butterfly is a tiger)

East Indian culture is always a part of me. A dear friend's human struggle and how she fought so hard to survive, inspired this song. A butterfly also has a similar struggle to become what it is. But proves on that journey what a tiger that butterfly is. I honor that struggle, and my friend, done in a special East Indian progression.

Track 6.
Wounded Soldier/Commuinion

I wrote this song during the night, right after seeing "The Passion of The Christ" hours prior.
It is an instrumental....as to me there are no human words that truly speak of what happened that day so long ago. But it hasn't been so long ago....It happens everyday, everytime we sin.
How often we lose sight of the fact, Jesus suffered...TRULY SUUFFERED....FOR US!
My heart wrote this melody as if I was there.
How would I react.....would I have jumped to help Jesus when he fell carrying the cross, heavy with our sins?
Or would I turn away when He cried out "Father forgive them for they know not what they do"
Was that only for the soldiers? Or us also?
This my soul's song.

You Complete Me

All of my love songs are for my God, and start that way, but always include my wife as well. I made this as simple as possible, for the message is just that, simple. Somehow after I thought it was done, God told me to let the little children sing at the end. As always He has the final say doesn't He?
