Leonard Cohen, Robert Pollard and Guided By Voices, Smashing Pumpkins and also their demo tape of 'Honey Spider', Nine Inch Nails, Sonic Youth, Gary Young, Mudhoney, Failure, Ween, Noise Addict and Ben Lee, the Moody Blues, the Third Bardo's 'I'm Five Years Ahead of My Time', Pixies, Slug, Urge Overkill, the Desert Sessions (all of them) and every band those guys and their guest players have ever been in, Nada Surf, Salt, Henry Mancini, Herb Alpert, the White Stripes, Sparklehorse, Aphex Twin, Self, Dinosaur Jr., Interpol, Aqueduct, Popdefect's only non-punk album Punch Drunk, Plexi, Girls Against Boys, Daisy Chainsaw, PJ Harvey, Built To Spill's 'Kicked It In the Sun', Ned's Atomic Dustbin, Supergrass, Scheer, Royksopp's 'Remind Me', Pavement, Gary Young, Stephen Malkmus, Hum, The Sundays, poorly tuned and unclassifiable stuff including but not limited to noise rock and art rock, the Serial Experiments LAIN soundtracks, the theme music to the Kids In the Hall. Other things that influence and inspire me are: places that you swear you've been to, but you know you've never been before, graphic designers and typographers, cyberpunk literature, the X-files and Millenium, Twin Peaks, LAIN, the Kids In the Hall, the Secret Lives of Machines, Connections I, II, and III, My So-Called Life for some very strange reason I can't figure out, any 60's film, indie film, or anime that has an extremely lonely feel, demoscene videos, early to mid 90's music videos, visiting places I used to live, unfinished basements, urban exploration videos, hissing tapes and crackling records, industrial art, black and white photos, strong, dark coffee, Earl Grey and Lady Grey tea, candles and low lighting.
