About Angie Thompson
I compose music for film and other media. As a Christian, I am able to bring an honest perspective to the music I score. The film genres where I find my best creative energy are sci-fi and drama. Currently I am scoring music for several INDEPENDENT film-makers around the world (Sweden, Austrailia, and the US), including a SCI-FI Horror film, Drama, and Dramedy. Other media projects include background music for websites and music for Announcements on Screen (church events).

I have been told by those I work with that I am a good listener and am able to bring a fresh perspective to the screen. The comment I hear most from people is that my music is "attractive".

Cakewalk Software selected me as one of their "Artists of the Week" in August 2008. I exclusively use Cakewalk Sonar Producer 7 in my studio along with a host of plug-ins. Currently, I am enrolled in Berklee School of Music, pursuing a Master's degree in Audio Production. My fellow students have commented on my work as "setting the bar high" for the others.

You can hear more of my music on my Myspace Profile so, you're invited stop by and listen. And, if you surf the comments and friends sections, keep an open mind. As I am a Christian, called to bring God's LIGHT to an artistic field not always influenced by such, some of the folks you'll see there may not be here on Shoutlife. But that is my ministry field. That is where I am called. I remain constant in my approach there ... faith-based, loving and open. I pursue excellence and honesty in my relationships. Because of my honesty, God has opened several doors for me to bring His peace and light. Young artists and others who pursue excellence often ask for my feedback on their works. A very humbling fact, and not something I take lightly.

I am 50 years old, married to the most amazing man on the planet; and have a fantastically talented son. We live with 3 cats (all who found us) and I work as a music director in our church.

Hope this helps you know more about me. What about you?
