i went to doctor i have a herientated disc in my back. there going try therapy and i got to lose 40pounds if that dont work surgery

Went to docter today for arm itsa pulled muscle.While i was there i had him to look at why i get pain from my hip to my foot. He wants me to go get a mri done.he said it might be a herinated disc
