John Callaghan is one of the most complete, multi award winning Country/Christian artists on the music scene today.
Due to his versatility, John has played with and been support to such famous acts as Johnny Cash, Don Williams, Barry McGuire, Randy Stonehill, Jack Clement, Shaun Rogers, as well as appearing regularly on many television shows, one of those being "Reg Lindsay's Country Homestead", early in his career.
He has released many self- penned albums, one of those "Callaghan's Gold" was received by both the music industry and the general public with great support and enthusiasm.
John has also successfully toured England, Ireland and parts of South East Asia as well as all part of this great land of Australia.
Crossing over from country to contemporary has paid dividends for John, often described as having one of the most extensive vocal ranges in the music scene today; he has highlighted his singing ability in his latest album "Stand Up".
The title song,' Stand Up' captures the harsh life some Australians lead, especially those on the land, while at the same time encouraging people to stand up and believe in this great country of ours.
His patriotism is reflected in songs like "Stand Up" and "Pioneering Ladies", which is a tribute to the ladies who helped settle and build Australia.

John, spends much of his "spare" time singing and sharing his testimony in churches, FGBMFI meetings, prisons, schools, old peoples homes and hospitals, where his special brand of music and charisma lifts those who hear him play and inspires achievement. As a retired Australian Karate Champion, he is often called upon to talk to young people about reaching out and being the best that they can be, regardless of their background or current circumstances.
John's Christian Album "Beginnings", released recently is being received very well. It is a collection of songs that John has written and songs that have been requested at his concerts over the last few years.
John was commissioned to write a specific song for the Centenary of Federation for the major events, "State to State at the Border Gate", and the "Re-enactment of the Sir Henry Parkes Speech. John performed at the concert with other stars like James Blundell.
John also won 1st place in a SA State wide competition for a song about the Constitutional Convention, which he sang at the opening of the convention.
He was one of the feature artists on SA Showcase this year, where the audience saw the great entertaining ability of this country artist, especially with his signature song "Stand Up", a great audience participation song when ever John performs it.
