General Interests
Three years ago, I exchanged manuscripts with a fellow writer, David Meigs. His book, The Nephilim (working title) so captured me that I felt inspired to create several drawings from some of the scenes. Below is a sample of those drawings.

About Rulan Capper-Starr
I am an aspiring fiction writer with two novels in progress, one is an action/adventure and the other a thriller. The thriller is set on a sheep and beef station (ranch) on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island. And the action/adventure starts in England and ends up in New Zealand.

I love God, my kids, the beach, horses, writing, and art. I dream of one day living beside the sea where I can write, draw, and ride horses to my heart's content.

In the slide show down on the left, you can view some illustrations I did for the very talented author, David Meigs.

In the banner above is some of my more recent work.

My art is for sale and sometimes I also do commissions. Please shoutmail me if you have any questions. I also have some of my art at my Zazzle store

Please don't take copies of my artwork or my photos as they are copyrighted. Thank you for understanding. :-

Hi Rulan,

It doesn't matter whether you're Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, Conservative, or Liturgical you need to be aware of what God is doing in these days through the Messianic movement. The more we understand the roots of our faith in Judaism, the more we can understand what God wants us to know to make that faith grow.

It doesn't matter whether you like rock, country, contemporary, gospel, or hip hop, you need to grow in your musical tastes, and sample the rich tapestry of Messianic Jewish music that is available today. To that end, I would like to introduce you to two amazing Messianic artists, whose musical style is very unique, and totally wonderful.

Deborah Kline-Iantorno's music springs from her Jewish and Puerto Rican roots, and her years as a night club singer. Her songs are exciting, her voice is gorgeous, and the message she brings is right on.

Straight from Jerusalem, Israel, the songs of Rivka Whitten are alive and fresh. Her music is a unique mix of Yemenite Israeli vocals along with rhythms from around the world, and a gifted group of instrumentalists.

Please come on by, and check out a couple of amazing songs that I have put on my page, then you can go to www.newfaithfavorites.com and listen to all of them.

Thanks,

Jim

Praise the Lord! I've always wondered what animals are thinking, sometimes i wondered about my old cat eating dry food, when he's probably thinking i want TUNA!, your really good with animals, lol people are creatures too, they also need to be tamed it's just harder cause we have bigger brains :)
Jess on 11/11/09 - 1:30 AM
That's good, I've never had one, but my aunt has and those things are WILD!
Jess on 11/11/09 - 1:16 AM
thank you, I'm sorry to hear that, i be praying for you my friend. God loves us just the way we are, especially when we make mistakes, because he can lift us up from them, and turn it into something great.

Faith love and trust in the Lord. no one is the greatest mother and if there was one well that would be God...if he was female. Even the greatest mothers that we see in this life that seem like they are better fall short, they just cover it up really well and they just let God guide them through the hard times. I pray the holy spirit of God covers over you tonight my friend.
Jess on 11/11/09 - 12:45 AM
I'm okay, still pretty sick but I'm starting to feel a little better...i think.
Even through sickness it's good to look on the brighter side. I'm starting to feel God's presence again, so I'm pretty happy still having a hard time but i can't complain. How are you doing?
Steven Fivecats on 11/09/09 - 12:06 PM
weather is kind of strange here of late. Today suppose to be 71 by Wednesday suppose to be down to 35 with the high only 60. Probably won't see any snow until January or February, but you never know. Enjoy your day....

Hi Rulan,
Thanks so much for the friends, always room for friends!
New Zealand, you're even more down under than the 'land down under'!
Are you feeling similar storm issues down there that Austalia was/is dealing with? My wife visited down there just before she met me, she really enjoyed her time there. She had said that turning the heat up in the house meant putting on a sweater!
Need to thank you for helping to keep this site such a cool place to be a part of, I've really enjoyed the short time that I have been here. Feel free to take a listen to the tunes on my page and leave me a note if you want to!
That is great artwork at the top of the page, will have to visit the link! Keep that pencil moving!
Well, I hope that you have a great week ahead of you, God bless and stay strong in Him!
