The world is full of dreamers. And rightfully so, God created us that way. But at some point in our lives we have the choice: to keep the dream for sleeping, or to wake up and live it.

Although her original plans were to go in to law enforcement, Mechele's desire to share what God had placed in her heart had grown to the point that she made the choice to wake up and live that dream and for the past 11 years, Mechele has traveled the Southeast spreading the Gospel through song.

Nichols, a Chattanooga, TN. native, was raised in a musical family that was and is devoted to God and to each other. She was raised, along with her sisters Janet & Tammie, in the small community of Lookout Valley by her parents, Larry and Betty Chapman. Mechele's first solo performance was at the age of 5 at her family's home church. Little did she know at that time, that God was preparing her for His work.


God has opened many doors for Mechele and He has allowed her to deliver His life saving message to thousands of people and has led many to accepting Christ as their personal Savior!

She has had the honor of sharing the stage with some of todays most respected Southern Gospel artists such as: SGM Hall of Fame Inductees Garry Sheppard and Buddy Lyles as well as Andy Bryan, The Northmen, New Ground, The Kirklands and The Gabbards to name a few.

She has also had the privilege of sharing the stage with contemporary Christian recording artists: Avalon, The Katinas, Cheri Keaggy, Clay Crosse and Pam Thumb. As well as country recording artists: The Forester Sisters and singer/songwriter Mark Gray.

* Performed on the Eddie Crook Goodlife Gospel Carnival Cruise to Mexico in January 2007.
* 2006 "Sunrise Award" Nominee - 2006 Diamond Awards
* 2006 "Favorite Female Vocalist" Nominee - Northwest Georgia Gospel Music Association.
* Has appeared and ministered in song on TBN's "Praise the Lord" program on affiliate station WELF 23 and channel 53.
* Recorded and released her first professional recording in April 2006.
* 2005 2nd place soloist winner - SGM Fan Festival, Murfreesboro, TN. (July)
* 2005 2nd place overall winner - SGM Fan Fair, Chattanooga, TN (August)
* Released her first National radio release "God Knows That" to Southern Gospel Radio in October 2005.

Mechele gives all the praise to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for her many accomplishments as she knows that without HIM, she could accomplish nothing.

Mechele's top priority in concert is to present the gospel to the listener in song and testimony. She travels to minister through song anywhere that God leads, no matter the size of the event or the financial situation.

With her engaging personality, warm smile and formidable passion, Mechele continues her journey with confidence and faith. The music is inspiring. Her message is clear. The truth has a way of setting us free and Mechele delivers that truth.
