Faison has been published in various literary and social outlets including Chickenbones, The Taj Mahal Review, Skyline Magazine, The University of Toledo's Poems for Peace project, Poets Against the War, Anointed Magazine and the 2003 NAACP Image Award Winning book by Tavis Smiley, Keeping the Faith.
Faison is a native of Courtland, Virginia. She's married and has two children. Latorial Faison graduated from the University of Virginia in 1995 and VA TECH in 1997 where she majored in English.
