2008 has begun with a bang! Steve started this year with a concert at the 2008 Break Forth Canada worship conference, opening for Favored Nations recording artist Doug Doppler. "What an honor to share the stage with a player of Doug's caliber," Steve said. "He is an amazing player, teacher, and man of God!" Steve and his family relocated to a new home this year, and the new digs features a much larger studio facility, equipped with the latest Pro Tools recording system. "I am very excited about the new studio! The room is so much larger than my previous room, and I upgraded just about everything! The sound is unbelieveable!!" Also in March, Steve was invited to be the Worship Pastor at his home church, The Fathers House, in Richmond, VA, which he accepted whole heartedly. "Everything I do musically is worship, and while in my individual ministry, I focus on instrumental music, my heart has always been to lead people into His presence. I am very excited about this new opportunity to explore not only the musical aspects of a worship team, but also the pastoral side of things. I have known for some time that there was a mantle for sheperding on my life, and the role of worship pastor is a great marriage of the gifts God has given me." Production continues on Steve's instrumental record, and the new studio has been a blessing in that process. "The new studio has been great! The sound quality is unbelievable! In fact, it is so good, I have begun remixing and even rerecording some of the parts for the songs on the cd. The new things I am recording are sounding so much better than the songs that were done, I had to at least re mix them!" Steve plans to complete his instrumental cd, and begin booking shows this summer.
