N-E-W-S Well, we have enjoyed the media uploaded by the bands @ BANDchannel.TV. But it is time for the fans to have a say.
We are looking for fan produced videos. These could be shout-outs, concert reports, CD reviews, or whatever.
The contest will run like this.
You MUST have a profile @ BANDchannel.TV You MUST upload a video talking about, showing some love to, or razzing your favorite band. (The band does not have to have a profile on BANDchannel.TV., but why wouldn't they?) You MUST mention the name of your favorite band in the video. You MUST be in the video.
All fan-produced videos will be judged for creativity. Videos must be uploaded before July 1,2007 (Contest ends June 30, 2007)
Winner will receive a FAN PACK of gear from one of our homepage-featured bands. This pack will include stickers, a tee-shirt and CD. Winner will be announced no later than July 10, 2007.

I started BANDchannel.tv as a way for fans to connect with their bands and each other, using more than just text, glitter and pictures. I honestly believe there is no other site loke this for bands and their fans. It is so easy to promote media between members it isn't funny... only awesome.
Every band/musician/singer/song-writer/agency rep/etc. can have a profile here on BANDchannel.TV. Every fan can also have a profile. So far it sounds like the same old community. But here is where it gets fun...
Every piece of uploaded media goes into the mix. Whether it is an official upload of a song or video or picture by a band, or a private tribute to a singer in the hospital posted by a fan, every piece goes into the pot.
Then anyone can comment on the media, rate the media, or add the media to their own profile as a favorite. This means that fans and bands can interact through audio and video, as well as the normal text, blog, and pictures.
What MySpace and YouTube have done for networking, BANDchannel.TV wants to do for the music community. But myspace and youtube have no focus, or let's say the focus is broad. This will be a focused site. BANDS - FANS.
