The Bible,
of course - my favorite.
Also,
just about anything I can get my hand on,
especially Christan - favorite authors are: Max Lucado,
LaHaye/Jenkins,
Sue Dent,
Frank Peretti,
Elizabeth George,
Martha Peace,
Jan Karon,
and I'm sure a dozen more that are not coming to mind.
I also like the classics,
especially of American literature.
I'm also something of a fan of Emily Dickinson.

Jeopardy,
Star Trek (just about any but the original series - Voyager is my favorite),
Law and Order (the original series),
Perry Mason,
Mythbusters
We don't go to movies much if at all.
My favorites,
though,
I guess would be Field of Dreams,
Wizard of Oz,
Passion of the Christ,
Sound of Music,
etc.

I am a stay-at-home mom and wife who was saved from the Jewish faith about nine years ago. I have been writing for as long as I can remember, but only for the Lord for the past few years.
My husband is currently on disability because of a brain tumor on his optic nerve and complications surrounding it (has been for about four years). We have two children - a 6-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl.
I love to write and do much of it at my favorite website, www.faithwriters.com. I find that fiction comes most naturally to me, though I have also written short non-fiction there, and the (very) occasional poem.
I am currently working on my first book - about the preparation, provision and protection God has given to me and my family through my husband's health issues. I have felt called to write this book for quite a while, and I am trusting God to help me write in to His glory.
For those of you interested, I wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember wanting to be ANYTHING - and I did it, but found I was not good at it. So, because teachers SHOULD be good at what they do, I left the profession (kicking and screaming, I must admit - and with several brief "entrances" and "exits" again before I REALLY left it.). In addition to teaching high school and junior high English and elementary school (each for about a year), since adulthood I have worked as a report writer for a medical group that specialized in Worker's Compensation stress claims (got some interesting stories from there), a temporary secretary, a newspaper reporter (staff writer for a weekly and freelancer for a daily - not at the same time), and a communications coordinator for a school district. I left the paying work world when my first son was born in 2001.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. I'd love to share anything that might help or interest you.

Sometimes, kids are just SO easy to please (at least the young ones). I often wish that I took as much pleasure in "the little things" as my nearly-4-year-old daughter and my 6 1/2-year-old son.
We went to the pet store earlier this week to get a fe...

I will have SURVIVED my 30's! (I'd originally intended to post this blog tomorrow, but feel like doing it now)
I was talking with my hubby (who will be done with his 30's precisely 12 days after I am!), and we both realized that our lives have chang...
