For it is the God who once said,
"Let light shine out of darkness,"
who has made his light shine in our hearts,
the light of the knowledge of God's glory
shining in the face of the Messiah Yeshua.
- 2 Corinthians 4:6 (CJB)

'Yeshua' is a Hebrew name
which means 'salvation.'
'Jesus' is a translation of
our Savior's wonderful Name...'Yeshua'.

But God is so rich in mercy and loves us
with such intense love that, even when
we were dead because of our acts of disobedience,
he brought us to life along with the Messiah -
it is by grace that you have been delivered.
-Ephesians 2:4,5 (CJB)

I enjoy Christian contemporary, praise and worship, some Christian rock and Messianic praise.
|
|
The Word of God is my favorite reading material. I also like 'Ancient Wells, Living Water' by Rod Parsley, 'The Christian in Complete Armour' by William Gurnall, and other books that can help me dig deeper into the Word. Another very good book is, 'The Fig Tree Blossoms,' by Paul Lieberman.
|
|
My favorite movie is 'Fiddler on the Roof'.
I also enjoyed the movie 'A Night With the King'.
I don't watch much TV, but do like NCIS, Numbers and Discovery Channel.

The most important thing about me is really not about me at all,
but about a loving God who sent His only Son to give His life for me.
Because of His mercy and grace, I have been forgiven, redeemed,
chosen and adopted as one of His own. If you have read my blogs,
you will know that I don't like labels. The only label I need is
that of being a born-again believer in Jesus the Messiah.

Expanding Our View of God

When my oldest son was in 2nd grade, he created a mobile depicting the planets of our solar system in their respective orbits. For some time afterwards, he was fascinated by the night sky. His grandmother gave him a telescope for Christmas that year ...

The hymn, "Near to the Heart of God," was written in 1901 by a 23 year old grieving pastor. He sang it for the first time standing next to quarantine signs outside his brother's home where diphtheria had claimed the lives of his two nieces. Cleland ...

Stuff Happens

I'm sure you've heard the flippant response, "Stuff happens," many times. "Stuff" does happen. Such is the world in which we live.
Lots of "stuff" happened to Habakkuk. His very name means "to wrestle." Habakkuk wrestled with many of the same que...

There has been much discussion recently about what is necessary for salvation. This concerns me greatly for many reasons. As you read this blog, I ask that you would pray with me that the Lord will open our hearts and minds (mine included) to His Wor...

My all-time favorite movie is 'Fiddler on the Roof' and it has been my favorite since I was very young. There are some wonderful lessons we can glean from this movie.
For those who haven't seen it, here is a description of the movie borrowed from...

That's good that you like your job. I tried to get some work done here today... but we are having some issue with the clay being too thin... and getting lots of air bubbles in our green ware... so I didn't accomplish much today... we talked to the lady that showed us how to make ceramic slip in the first place and she suggested that Andrew pour slower... guess its splashing up when he pours because it's so thin... and that's whats causing the problems. So hopefully that does the trick. :)

Doing good--blessed. Just busy. Something about the holidays. I smashed my finger with a frozen turkey yesterday. Yikes. Not broken~~I can still move the hand, but it's swollen.
That bird deserves to be eaten!!!
(It hurt to type that last line, btw.)
Tell me you are all safe and sound and well.
The word SOUND reminds me--I love the Sound of Music! Wish I could have seen the play.
