NEW SKY (2011)
New Sky is the newest release by The Downs Family featuring 9 powerful anointed songs. New Sky features 3 original songs by group member Scotty Downs and 2 original songs by his brother-n-law Terry Michael. It contains 2 songs by the very talanted Debra Shepherd of the well-known group The Shepherds and 2 songs by Song Writer of The Year, Gerald Crabb.
New Sky was produced by Darrell Freeman of the nationally known Southern Gospel group The Freemans.
This album is sure to be a favorite of any Southern Gospel Music lover.

The Old Crossroads (2009)
The Downs Family just recently completed recording their newest project, "The Old Crossroads."
Jeremy Midkiff, Dan Needham, Duncan Mullins, Bryan Sutton, Tim Akers, Jim Van Cleve, and Scott Sanders, some of the best musicians in Nashville (Mainstream Gospel Music and Country, as well) provided the music on "The Old Crossroads."
Gerald Crabb (one of the most recognized names in gospel music) produced "The Old Crossroads". Crabb said, "I am very honored to have produced "The Old Crossroads" for The Downs Family. It was a joy working with Scotty, Teresa, Kayla and Meagan. They are wonderful people who are so talanted and anointed. All ten songs on the CD are great, but I feel confident there are four of five very strong songs that can be released as singles for radio airplay. I believe the CD will be a blessing to everyone."
All ten songs on the CD showcase the beautiful family harmony, along with the "Downs Family sound." Even though The Downs Family has established their own unique style, their style of music has been likened to the style of the first Crabb Family recordings. There are ten top quality songs on The Downs Family CD. Three of the songs were written by Scotty Downs; one co-written by Teresa Downs and Gerald Wade; one written by former band member, Terry Michael; and three written by Gerald Crabb.

The Downs Family is a Southern Country Gospel group from Booneville, Mississippi. We love to travel and spread the good news of the gospel through song to everyone who will give us the opportunity.
We are a family group made up of Scotty & Teresa; daughters, Kayla & Meagan and our cousin Will.
The Lord has blessed us in so many ways. We have recorded three albums that have some great tunes that have blessed people all over the world.
Some of our songs that have reached national chart status include: "He Kept On Loving Me", "Cover Me", "I'll Not Fear The Valley", "He Chose The Nails" and "In The Hands Of The Savior".
Over the years we have taken the stage with some of the best known groups in gospel music such as: The Crabb Family, Jeff & Sheri Easter, The Perrys, The Freemans, The Dunaways, The Shepherds, Gold City and more.
