Food for thought:
Our focus should be more vertical than horizontal at the present hour. As we turn our attention heavenward it will open realms of understanding and insight crucial for the journey. We must begin to see things as they really are more so than the way they appear. This can only be achieved by viewing circumstances from God's perspective.

Brethren,

I have heard some say, "I feel like quitting it ALL!" Maybe this is how you feel at this present time in your life. I too have felt like a failure. I have felt like such a failure to the LORD... to my husband and my family...to all those who looked up to me for guidance and example. My conscience has screamed out to me, you hypocrite! I have felt so far away from GOD, with an overwhelming fear that I couldn't find restoration back to GOD.

This is how we may sometimes feel when we see ourselves for who we really are, in the light of GODS word. When the very root of our character is laid open and made plainly visible before us, we sometimes do not like what we see, and find it hard to look into the mirror of GODS word, and at times even hard to look into the natural mirror despising our very selves.

I know how you may feel, but I also know from GODS word (and by my own experience) that GODS mercy endures forever, and that HIS mercies are new every morning(morning being the end of every day).

So, when we are at the end (of ourselves) HIS mercy and strength remains.

When we come to truly realize that HE knows what is in us(HE knows fully well what we are capable of doing when it comes to sin and walking in our flesh)we will then understand that none of this has ever taken HIM by surprise. It may have taken us by surprise because we do not always know our own hearts, but it has never taken the GOD Who created us by surprise!

When we find ourselves in that blessed place where we finally see who we are deep inside... when we have hurt those we love, when we find our selves held captive by the deception of sin within us, when we see how easy it is for us to fall as Adam did... it brings us to a "sober awareness" of how greatly we need GOD. When we finally come to this blessed understanding, we will then fully realize how desperately we need GOD to lead us, to keep us, to heal us, to forgive us and to fill us with HIS Spirit. The truth is, we need GOD fully and completely!

HE knows the end from the very beginning. HE knows that we are but dust...and yet, HE loves us intimately and completely like no other has ever loved us before.

BUT, we must see our sin for how sinful it is (Hebrews 12:18-24).
We must daily confess it, as the Holy Spirit shines the light of the word upon the sin that is hidden from our eyes, we must turn away from it, trusting HIM to cleanse, heal and strengthen those things in us that remain, daily purifying us (washing us in HIS Word).

Let us be always learning to lean on HIM, trusting the Holy Spirit to revive and mend our broken spirit toward HIM...transforming us from within to love HIM and HIS will more than we love any thing else in this life.

I pray that our hearts would be turned to completely obey the Holy Spirit working in our life... more than obeying the desires of our flesh.

When we have come to a living understanding of this, turning with all our hearts to GOD (as we seek to walk in holiness and righteousness toward GOD and with each other) we will feel the smile of Heaven over us, and we will walk in love, joy and peace.

The trials of our faith work in us a far greater reward, purging us and refining us in the fires until we come forth as pure gold.

Indeed, to have a clear conscience toward GOD and each other is a priceless treasure to possess.

Let our conversations always be as such becometh saints...
