TORN - Rugged Records (1996)
Track List:
01. Intro
02. Bitterness
03. Spinning
04. No One's Home
05. Seasons of Change
06. '81
07. Videosmut
08. Now
09. Prussian Blue
10. Backlash
11. I'm Free
Now this what I was talking about being well worth the wait. Torn is pure Progressive Metal that demands respect. It got alote of conviction in the lyrics and music. Guitarest Don Webster shows just much he meens buisness. David Raymond Reeves volcals are feeled with nothing but pure power and passion. Torn represents the maturation of a band, of a friendship, of a belivers walk through life. The depth and diversity of matterialy was the direct result of hardship and the ability to surmount the challanges faced in life. Songs like "Backlash" and "Videosmut" (alt. Media Slut) make social commentary while others like "Prussian Blue" and "I'm Free" are deep and spiritual, requiring some discernment to gather their entire meanings. But the two songs that seem to have touched everyone who has listened to the album are "Bitterness" and "Now", moody, introspective songs that address issues of personal faith.

MYSTERY - Gundo Producttions(Unreleasted (1989)
This project never finshed, there for never released. The band at this point kinda vanished from the publics eye. NC fans who did not know them personally thout it was over. But the world was about to be in for suprize. It took about 9 years before they reamerged with an new album that prooved that they were still very much alive and kickin. It was well worth the wait, because in the time the fans had to wait the band had turned more Progressive. Progressive Metal was what was to come from the band. However, I would of loved to hear this album that was shelved. When they sighned with Rugged Records in '96, the lable released a compilation CD that fetured Barren Cross, Neon Cross, P. K. Mitchell, & Red Sea, there were 3 songs from each artist, the three fron NC were from Mystery. The fans and Media were in for the ride of there lives by the time there 4 studio project came out. Fans the thout that they were gonna be hearing classic '80'a metal got prog-metal instead.
Some of the songs from this period that were recorded were Mystery of Love, I'm Free, and In Your Mind. I'm Nobody and Soli Deo Gloria were both recorded but never show up on a record. I'm Nobody was released on MP3.com and spent over a week at #1 for Christian Rock Charts.

NEON CROSS - Regency Records (1988)
Track List:
01. Heartbreaker
02. Frontline Life
03. We are the Children (of our Lord)
04. On The Rock
05. I'm Not Alone
06. (This is) The Right Time
07. Run Into The Light
08. Far Cry (from Eden)
09. Outta The Way
10. Victory
The interesting thing about the Neon Cross album is that it represented a mix of where the band was going and where the band had been. Originally the band had just wanted to re-record a more polished version five of the tracks from the Frontline Life EP and to add five more songs to round off a complete album. Cuts from the previously released California Metal were actually written during the process of mixing thus those songs more accurately reflected where the band was at during that period. By the time Dino Elephante finally heard the rough mixes of the album he had already decided he liked the group and felt strongly that the Elephante magic was just what the record needed to send it over the top. Soon contracts were being signed and the Pakaderm Company was in the process of clean-up and mixing. In many cases all that remains of the original track is the click. And of course in the end the Elephante's patented "Big Mix" did prove to be the perfect fit.

FRONTLINE LIFE - Soli Deo Gloria / BMI (1984)
Track List:
01. The Battle*
02. Frontline Life
03. We are the Children (of our Lord)
04. Far Cry (From Eden)
05. Victory
This is the first Neon Cross studio project to become commercial available was produced by the band, Frontline Life e.p. (extended play). Little more than demo tape, released on cassette only. It did however make it around the world and see airplay in such odd places as Eastern (Communist) Europe. No one was more surprise than the band to see the level of acceptance yet here in the states the issue of "Christian Metal" was still a controversial matter and bands in this genre had a long way to go before finding real label interest. Even Stryper, arguably the most successful Christian Metal band had been signed originally as a secular group. This is a raw, and in your face high energy Christian Metal at it's best. Dispite the low sound quality, I really like this E.P. It's a good glimps of things to come.
