About Temple Veil
Temple Veil is a tale of two opposites, a duo of individuality functioning in harmony. The journey begins with two characters of vastly different upbringings. DeRock, a Texas native, was raised amid the immense metropolis of Dallas-Fort Worth in the heart of urban culture where "big city", "soul", and "the dirty south" collide. Brysson, on the other hand, grew up on a northern Ohio farm in a rural community consisting of cornfields, a gas station, and the nation's largest Amish population.

The personalities of these two are as unique as their childhoods. DeRock would best be described as man of action. Thriving in group settings, he can always be found where the action is. On the contrary, Brysson, a laid-back individual, is much more likely to be found working in seclusion or engaged in a deep one-on-one conversation. Watching football and movies is a top source of entertainment for DeRock, while Brysson enjoys outdoor activities in the likes of hiking and fishing. Yet they have established a deep rapport.

In addition to their love of fried okra and their matching red briefcases, there is one thing that unites these two individuals above and beyond all differences, something that supersedes all else in their lives. That is their love for God, people, and music; and their passion, purpose, and calling to bring all these together. Though influences of their diverse backgrounds may be inescapable, DeRock and Brysson have deserted their past, leaving everything to unify the immeasurable passion of their hearts.

Among other musical endeavors, DeRock and Brysson have spent the past two years together as members of a hard rock band, performing over 450 dates around the entire North American continent and releasing an international recording. They persistently face many challenges and also many incredible opportunities as they continue with that venture. Offsetting all down time, and pursuing their desire to reach a broad audience, the two have most recently stepped into something on the other end of the musical spectrum.

With all rock and roll persona's aside, no glamour or flair, Temple Veil is stripped down, acoustic, raw, and real. Just as the temple veil was torn upon Christ's death in the Bible, granting all men access into the Holy of Holies, DeRock and Brysson have unmasked their own lives, opening themselves to the world through Temple Veil. A recording is in the making. In the meantime, come listen to the music and hear the stories at one of the tour stops, and if you ask politely, there is a small possibility that they may show you the contents of those matching red briefcases...

"The new project 'Temple Veil' is an uncalculated turn for the members that also make up a loud hardcore band. What a fine display of diversity and musicianship to show both the extreme side of music and the soft, almost coffee shop stylings of 'Temple Veil'. Grab it while it's hot, and don't cheat yourself out of a chance to see these guys live!"

--- Drue Mitchell, Music Director, KVRK 89.7 PowerFM

"Brysson and DeRock are great examples of a life surrendered to God and His will. They have lead worship for my church several times and we are always grateful to get an opportunity to worship with them. Their unique blend of musical ability makes for an amazing worship experience."

Hello Temple Veil; Welcome friend. God is AWESOME! Rest in the knowledge that you are crowned God's magnificent creation, predestined and chosen (John 15:16) to do superabundantly far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams] (Eph 3:20 amp). It is not about religion! It is all about HIM! HIS power that works within us! Have an awesome revelation!...Daryn
