About Daniel Robichaud
First off, I am an aspiring writer. I am currently working full time, and going to school. I had a revelation one year ago that I like to write stories. I am working on my first novel, and have written a few short stories so far. I joined this website so I could meet other writers, and to get my work critiqed by other writers.

If I had to do it all over again I think I would have started out with short stories before moving onto novels. I really had a lot to learn, more so than I thought. Fortunately for me, I have been able to get published in both disciplines.

My dearly beloved Daniel:

Peace be unto you!

Given the current distress and perplexity which the world is experiencing, inspirationally caused by the forces that be through man and nature, it is important that certain mysteries are brought to light at this time, that the wearied soul may find comfort in understanding the time and season, and his designed course and ordained destiny, as the end of the journey and its glory are upon you: for every journey must have an end. The time is come for you to gradually receive the full knowledge of God's grace, as the last fulfillment is at the door; grace to you: for Peace, the latter rain, whom you seek, and whom the world esteems not, is in your midst, incognito: for as it was at the first, so again it is at the last!

To he that has perception: Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open (expound) the book, and to loose (interpret) the seven seals thereof. Thus you were told to watch: for he comes as a thief. And understand the presence of a thief: for he never comes announced; but is in your midst, yet unawares to anyone but he that he makes his presence known to: incognito. Let he that has an ear hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches (the body of faiths), even unto all men: it is the voice (doctrine: testimony) of the seventh angel (Peace: the last). The peace of the Father, which is accorded the Son, be with you; and the love of the Father, whom you are, ever to be reflected unto your brethren. Shalom! Salaam! Namaste!

Eternally with you!
Your friend,
Nicky

what you write about ? wish you good luck :)
I started also a book but still have muuchh :) to write.
what you like to do in your free time?

In my opinion there are two benefits from writing short stories. It helps you hone your skills as a writer, you finish a project much quicker than writing a book, and you build up writer's credits faster and more easily than starting off with a novel. Okay, that's four benefits.

Howdy, Daniel, and welcome to Shoutlife! (I have a feeling you're gonna love it here as much as I do. )

Amazing how the Lord puts things into our heads, isn't it! If He has called you to write, you are smart to obey. (When He called me, I didn't 'get it' at first, and my dreams were FILLED with stories He wanted me to share with other Believers.) Take my word for it: You'll sleep a lot better if you write those stories He puts into YOUR heart! LOL (And if there is any way I can help, just say the word.)

Meanwhile, may He shower you and yours with joys too numerous to count.

Blessings,
Loree

Hi and welcome Daniel. I'm sure you'll find great people here. God bless you.

If you've done some sci-fi/fantasy short stories, I suggest you try submitting them to Ray Gun Revival, Digital Dragon, and/or Residential Aliens. They are Internet-based magazines that are constantly seeking stories from writers such as yourselves and publish them once a month. It's a relatively easy way to get some publishing credits under your belt, so long as the stories are interesting and well written. If you go to their websites, they have information as to the kinds of stories they are looking for.

Hey Daniel,

I have to second what my friend Betsy St. Amant said about checking out ACFW. It's a fantastic organization which has helped each of us grow in the craft of writing, meet other writers, be encouraged. It's also great to have lots of blogs and other resources available. Check out www.seriouslywrite.blogspot.com, a blog a friend and I cohost. We have guest authors every week addressing craft, sharing their stories of breaking into publishing and generally encouraging other writers.

All His best,
Annette
