That might be a stretch, but my writings have been compared to some of Thoreau's works, and some have O. Henry-esque endings. Tim Perry, author of Blessed is She; Living Lent with Mary, wrote that my book is 'a testimony to the goodness of God, who speaks in the most remarkable ways.'

a poem as lovely as a tree...
A tree that looks at God all day
and lifts her leafy arms to pray...
Poems are made by fools like me

Heeeeeeeeey you! Thanks :D Yeah I just came across that song the other day... it fits a whole lot of things that I've been feeling and facing lately.... there is a lot of garbage out there that needs to be discarded as it comes our way. nope not fun, not easy, but it's the the truth and reality of the world we live in and the only way we can survive it is to let Him carry us... let ourselves go. I love that line You say life is waiting for those who lose control. :) How you keepin these days?

Hi Carlynn, How nice of you to compliment me so nicely in your note...I may not look my age (thanks to my Mom's good Dutch genes) but I am 66 now, and somedays really feel every year of it. Doing GREAT, though, with my hand recovery, and got stitches out yesterday...now starts therapy on Monday. I felt confident enough yesterday to schedule the 2nd hand (right)for surgery on December 30th...guess I'll be laying low for New Years, huh? Because of my hand, I have not done any writing for Bob yet, but intend to now that I can use my left hand again...after only a little over a week! PTL!
I'd like to see your main web site, but can't seem to get on it by the link you have posted...can you help me. Blessings, Carlynn, you are a beautiful person and friend. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Hi Carlynn,
Thanks for the visit, your prayers, and your kind words. I understand your situation, because I don't get to spend as much time online as I did before I started working, and I have been having some computer problems, too. My pages are real slow loading and I have high speed internet now. Sometimes, I have a problem getting signed in on ShoutLife. The page will start loading and then just stop, and I have to keep refreshing it or start over. You are in my thoughts and prayers, also, and I am praying that you will have a wonderful week.
God's blessings always,
Ray

Hey, Carlynn! Mine is a household of one - but there is a family of squirrels that have adopted me for good or bad. They use my roof as a freeway going from tree to tree. Mine is a metal roof and when they hit the roof running it sounds like someone has released a handful of marbles. Real nice if I am trying to take a nap! Walk in peace, my friend.
Loree Lough on 11/15/09 - 9:33 AM
Yeah, that was some neighborhood, all right. I forgot about the rabid raccoon on the cellar doors until I'd already hit SEND on that blog; scared him away by shaking the dust mop at him. Guess he didn't like cleaning any better than I did! LOL

Have a blissful Sunday!

Hey, Carlynn! Been awhile since we have communicated. So great to hear from you. I do hope you are well and enjoying the Fall colors. God bless you, my friend.

Carlynn,

I'm having a wonderful weekend. Thank you for being very happy for John & I!
It's nice to see you :)

Is everything ok with you and yours? Is everything still standing, no flooding or damage to your property?
Yup, yup, the power in nature for the most part seems to go unnoticed until it gets cranky. :) It just seems to be expanding the extremes each year that passes. I can hardly wait to watch Him put the world back in balance again - that will be something to see!

Hi Carlynn,
Just passin' thru to wish you God's blessing on your weekend, may it be an enjoyable time, stay strong in Him!

Hi Carlynn, I just realized how many nice comments you made on my pics. No, Zaiyan Elijah and Ollie are not twins, but cousins just a year apart. They are my son's grandsons, and 2 of my 3 great grandsons. I just enjoyed Zaiyan being up here so much; he is quite the well mannered little man. Thanks for all your glowing comments on my family. It is appreciated...you are too nice.
Blessings,
Sandy
p.s. Love your music, too...it's MY kinda music!
Sandy Lee on 11/06/09 - 10:22 PM
Hi Carlynn, Yes, I'm doing well, and we were so blessed during the past few days by a visit from my 24 yr old granddaughter & her son, Zaiyan Elijah (3) our GREAT grandson. they were here from Alaska and we enjoyed their visit so much. Yes, I hope that I get a chance to write some for Bob, before I have my hand operated on this week, because after that I won't be able to do much typing for awhile. It's carpal tunnel surgery, and I will have the right hand done after the left one heals up. I will try to do some writing on Tuesday before Wednesday's surgery. Thanks for your encouragement.
Blessings & peace always dear friend,
Sandy
