Well LEGEND of the EMERALD ROSE has been compared to Stephen R. Lawhead!! What an honor! However, I prefer to think of myself as the romantic version. LOL
Otherwise, I write like the one and only Linda Wichman. I write romantic adventures with a dose of humor and most often a fantasy element. This means that I might write historicals spawned from legend or contemporary romantic suspense with serious twists and turns.
Whether I'm writing for the secular or Christian market, my Christian world view is intricately interwoven to reach the lost for Jesus!

Legends fascinate me!
I suppose that has to do with my attempt to escape a very dysfunctional childhood. I spent many nights beneath my blankets reading and writing about make-believe worlds.
Little did I know how God would use my love of fantasy for His greater good. He gave me a gift and desire to write stories and, its the one thing I knew I could do well.
I write several genres, but have a heart for romance and speculative fiction.
My first novel, 'Legend of the Emerald Rose.' achieved recognition as a:
2006 Christy Award Finalist
2006 RWA FHL Readers Choice Finalist
2005 ACFW Book of the Year
I'm presently penning my 2nd contemporary suspense romance.
I love all people, and have a burning heart for seekers and unbelievers.
I also have an outreach internet ministry writing fanfiction for the TV show, Stargate SG-1. God has blessed this unlikely venue with first place fanfiction awards. My penname is HailDorothy.
Oh, most importantly, I'm married to an awesome man who supports my ministry. We have two grown married children, two adorable grandsons.
Whenever someone asks what Bible Scripture best defines my calling, I share the one God imprinted on my heart. I like the contemporary version of THE MESSAGE because it speaks to this generation.
The Message: 1 Corinthians 19-23
Even though I am free of the demands and expectations of everyone, I have voluntarily become a servant to any and all in order to reach a wide range of people: religious, nonreligious, meticulous moralists, loose-living immoralists, the defeated, the demoralizedwhoever.
I didn't take on their way of life. I kept my bearings in Christbut I entered their world and tried to experience things from their point of view.
I've become just about every sort of servant there is in my attempts to lead those I meet into a God-saved life.
I did all this because of the Message. I didn't just want to talk about it; I wanted to be in on it!
YEAH!

Hey, Linda! So nice to see you here at Shoutlife! (I've been a member for almost a year; how come I haven't seen your pretty picture before today!?)
Well, I'm looking forward to getting to know you better. And when you get a minute, I hope you'll pop over to my Shoutlife profile and my web site to see what the good Lord has had me doing since He convinced me to trade my guitar and microphone for a computer.
I pray that He will shower you and those you love with abundant joy and amazing success!
Big warm hugs to you, m'friend!
Eyes on Him,
(1 Corinthians 10:13)
Loree
