Hey Friends, this is Ricky Byrum. Welcome to my page and thanks for stopping by! I am a singer, songwriter, producer, performer, guitarist and bassist. I have been fortunate enough to write and record my music with many great bands and as a solo artist.
I have been a musician for several years, and writing an array of music for some time now. I was born and raised on the east coast and the beach certainly has had an effect on my music. Thus, tracks titled, 'Tranquility'. In 2007 I sent a single (It Won't be Long Now) to 600 mainstream stations in the US, Canada and Europe. I also have been forwarded to TV and Film opportunities.
I was into music at a very early age, watching everything from blues, R & B, ROCK, and other forms on the TV turned me on to a diverse culture. It seems each instrument I play comes out with its own genre. When I play acoustically, I think pretty. When I play distortion I want it hard and heavy. As well when I play bass I want it funky and powerful! Now that I am singing, it all transposed in the same way to voices.
The number one focus in my music is the message. As a Christian we must take the gospel message to those who suffer and are lost... and even to the body of Christ! There will be seasons we need to be refreshed as well. I lift up those who are sick, homeless, the elderly, the imprisoned, those in power. Most certainly the LOST. And may GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!
I have always had a knack for writing and arranging songs. Even more so than ever playing cover songs. I write what I feel and what I want to express. I have been told that to really get to know me, one must listen carefully to my songs. Take a look around and listen, and give me a shout back.

Hello all,
As we prepare a final mix on Coming Alive this weekend, I wanted to pass along the plans I'm making for a cd release party.
My hope is to have the Christian metal band Hemotheory headline the event.
One facility in mind is the Va Center for Cultural Arts located in Suffolk Va.
I am also looking at other venues in the Tidewater Va. area and south east NC that may coincide with this show.
Possibly as other dates altogether for us.
I will be scheduling most of the shows after the first of the year.
There's much more to discuss and I will follow up as soon as possible.
