It's the Dallas White Rock Marathon and benefits Scottish Rite Hospital. It's Dec 13, so a few mere weeks away now. The Relay part is where 5-people teams share the 26.2 mile marathon course. I run/walk the first 6 miles, then hand-off to my team mate who then goes 4 miles, hands to another who goes 5, another who goes 5, and our final who goes 6.2 miles. Since I've got the first 6 miles, I can hand off to my teammate, then continue along for the next 7.1 miles to complete the Half.
Have a great weekend! We've had so much rain, but am hopeful our softball double-header has not been rained out!

That's good to hear, but what a hassle to have to deal with. Hope all is good and the week is off to a great start. Not much news here, just enjoying a break from the rains, sunshine, and being able to train outdoors for our Relay in December ... hubby and I decided to also participate in the Half Marathon the same day. I can do both because I have the first leg of the Relay. I won't be fast, but I can complete 13 miles! Looking forward to it!

THANKS you, sweet friend, for helping me out today! I have MUCH to ponder! And for some reason, at the moment I am waaaaaaaaaay too tender about it! I'm mostly I blubbering idiot! Sad... for what is very easy for all of us to do without even being aware of it. I want Jesus to show me my sight, to heal me from my blindness, and then help me to see more like Him!!!! Too, I wish I could help others to see!

Yes ... we're staying waterlogged due to so much rain! We did go to the State Fair on Sat --- if you watch Oprah, catch her show Monday, she'll broadcast from our fair --- fried butter is actually quiet good and a Fletcher' corny dog is a must! =)
