PLEASE READ BULLETIN ABOUT 900 GREYHOUNDS THAT MIGHT BE EUTHENIZED!
Nov 20, 2009 - 3:45 PM
|
When I was the young mom of three little girls, we lived way out in the country, where it took at least 30 minutes to drive to the nearest... anything! Even then (though I didn't know it at the time), the Lord was preparing me to become a writer. Things like bats in the bathroom, cows (not ours!) in the front yard, and crazy-eyed raccoons clinging to my clothesline gave me plenty of stuff to scribble in my diary.
But I didn't write anything with true seriousness until a neighbor boasted, "MY pastor's better than yours!" She dragged me to her church, where I fully expecting to leave saying, "Ha, ha... you were wrong!"
Well, much to my surprise, he WAS a better preacher. A whole LOT better! And his sermon that day is what turned me into a washed-in-the-blood Christian with a desire to write with passion, in His name, for His glory!
When you get a minute, pop on over to Loree's site! to see evidence of what our Father inspired me to do with my life. Then kick back with a cup of coffee or tea and scan my newsletter, where you'll get to know one of my favorite authors a little better, read a scrumptious recipe (go ahead and copy it!), and see which of my writer friends' books I'm recommending this month.
And if anything weighs heavy on your heart, please let me join you in prayer, dear Shoutlife friends, for wherever two or more are gathered in His name....
Meanwhile, I'm praying He will shower you and those you love with abundant joy and complete contentment!
I love you all in His name,
Loree

Loree, I was just introduced to this website by a young lady with a company I believe was named the candystore where I was inquiring about book marketing. My first book was published in May and I'm trying to find out the best ways to market it and she recommended to establish a website here. When you said you would like to pray for anyone, because wherever two or more are gathered....AMEN! Pray that God will restore peace and joy back into my life. I've had ongoing bouts with depression and anxiety and I know that Satan believes he can defeat my walk with Christ with this onslaught. I'm coming back to your site and check it out this weekend. Thank you for any offered prayers, they will be greatly appreciated.
God Bless You,
Nick Alvis

Light of God
Light of God
Light of God in the face of Jesus Christ
Illuminate our paths so we may have Your sight
We are Your vessels in earthen clay pots
Mold us and shape us, in Thee we trust.
Your ways are higher than our ways
Your thoughts are higher than our thoughts
This treasure You put inside of us no one can
destroy or touch
For we are fashioned now to Your likeness the
old man is destroyed
For our life now hidden in Christ embraced in
Your love.
We may be cast down, and spoken evil of
We may be persecuted for our faith
But we know Whom we serve and you give us grace to endure
Any trial that may come our way for we walk and
stand
And trust in the light of God.

Hi Loree,
It doesn't matter whether you're Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, Conservative, or Liturgical you need to be aware of what God is doing in these days through the Messianic movement. The more we understand the roots of our faith in Judaism, the more we can understand what God wants us to know to make that faith grow.
It doesn't matter whether you like rock, country, contemporary, gospel, or hip hop, you need to grow in your musical tastes, and sample the rich tapestry of Messianic Jewish music that is available today. To that end, I would like to introduce you to two amazing Messianic artists, whose musical style is very unique, and totally wonderful.
Deborah Kline-Iantorno's music springs from her Jewish and Puerto Rican roots, and her years as a night club singer. Her songs are exciting, her voice is gorgeous, and the message she brings is right on.
Straight from Jerusalem, Israel, the songs of Rivka Whitten are alive and fresh. Her music is a unique mix of Yemenite Israeli vocals along with rhythms from around the world, and a gifted group of instrumentalists.
Please come on by, and check out a couple of amazing songs that I have put on my page, then you can go to www.newfaithfavorites.com and listen to all of them.
Thanks,
Jim

LOL ~ You are a busy girl. I find it a challenge just keeping up with FB and SL alone. I usually feel I'm neglecting one or the others.
I am not familiare with the PC oven timer.

oh my goodness Loree - a rabid raccoon yikes! lol about the cleaning!
when we lived in the wilderness amidst DC (a quaint 5 acres) we had a rabid fox there. critters are so funny tho when harmless arent they? our horses used to graze in several pastures, one being right around the house and one morning i came downstairs to find them in the kitchen gorging on apples i had in an antique nippon bowl! LOL, funny. got a picture of them too, the miscreants! that's one of the stories in my book :-)
