Generation G - Advice for Savvy Grandmothers Who Will Never Go Gray (2008)
Grandmothers of the 21st century are a new kind of breed. Hip, active, and involved they are changing the face of grandparenting. This book is a fun, easy read. Themes range from choosing a name and going to the hospital to dealing with retirement, step and long distance grandparenting, death, dying, and divorce. A good book for anyone who is a grandmother, has a grandmother or will be a grandmother some day.

A Hode-Podge Day   11/20/2009 - 10:15 AM
Recently I had my 5th "sip and see" for my 4th grandson. After four previous celebrations, ten pounds and ten years, I had almost run out of steam. Note that the operative word here is almost. I gutted up and got moving. At six and a half months,... (login or sign up to read more)

Anyone Can Be A Blogger   11/20/2009 - 9:44 AM
Anyone can be a blogger. At least that's what I'm told. Just get a topic, write about it often, find some followers, lead an interesting life, and you're set. Sure - easier said than done. Recently I read two books about bloggers. Then I saw... (login or sign up to read more)

The Great Escape   5/11/2009 - 10:40 AM
The "Great Escape" conjures up many thoughts in my over-active, but sometimes, feeble brain. A free association exercise on the phrase "great escape" brings up the following. The movie "The Great Escape" with Steve McQueen is one of my all-time f... (login or sign up to read more)

Snow ...Snow... and More!   1/05/2009 - 11:26 AM
I have just returned from a week in Colorado! Wow - what majestic beauty. Anyone who doubts that there is a God need only spend a week in the mountains. The beauty and majesty of such a setting could only be created by the hands of a master. And ... (login or sign up to read more)

Mary Did You Know...   12/23/2008 - 4:09 PM
I just received a wonderful email that highlighted the song "Mary Did You Know." If you haven't heard it you must because Mary is just like one of us. Most of us have no idea the twists and turns our lives will take. I'm sure that Mary, too, ha... (login or sign up to read more)

Hi, Marty. Just popping in to thank you for the Friend invite and to apologize for taking so long to accept. I'm finding I'm just not able to spend as much time here as I'd like, but I'd love to get to know you :-)

Many blessings--
