I have decided that it is time for me to type some info for myself. So, for those of you who don't know me, this is for you:
I am the Stay-At-Home Mom to three children: Christian-9, Brennah-8, and Noah-5! I am also the wife of almost 11 years to a wonderful man, Jim Causey. When I am not busy running around with kiddos, I do enjoy other interests, like singing, and computers. I have been singing my whole life and UTTERLY LOVE IT! I would not be me without my voice. I have been blessed to be able to sing with my mom for many years. Now we live far away from each other, of course. So, if I want to sing now, I have to be able to sing with others. While I know I can do it, and have the confidence it takes, it is still kinda scary because it will be "on my own" (or so to speak)! I am hoping doors will be opened, because all I have ever wanted to do is sing Southern Gospel music. It's what I grew up on, and I think that Southern Gospel has the richest harmony ever.

As you can tell, my page is dedicated to Autism Awareness. My son, Christian, has "educationally" met the criteria for Autism, and is considered mild. We are now working on getting his medical diagnosis. I also have a niece and nephew that have been diagnosed as Severe ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). I think it is important for everyone to know what they can about Autism and support Autism Research. These individuals are very bright, and very smart. They just have to learn a different way. Please do what you can to educate yourself on Autism. You really never know if/when it will hit your family next. Just to clear up some misconceptions about Autism: It is NOT retardation! It is a developmental condition. If one Autistic has one sign and another one has a different sign, that doesn't mean that one or both are not on the spectrum, it just means they have different deficits. There are many levels on the Spectrum. If anyone has any questions about Autism, please ask me. If I can't answer it, I can send you to some very helpful websites that can answer your questions or tell you where to find those answers.
