This book has impacted many men, women and children's
lives in positive ways and a portion of book proceeds
will help women/children shelters.
Deborah is a freelance writer, author and speaker
and was born and raised in Chicago with a heart to
help hurting people. She's an Illinois Certified Domestic
Violence Professional and speaks at churches, Universities,
Women Shelters, and other events. Deborah has also contributed
to anthologies in the past where her work was awarded
and published in two other different books: "Praise Reports which
was released in January 2007" (Real-Life Stories of How God
Works Miracles Today) and "How I met My True Love"
(inspiring Real-Life Stories of How God Unites Soul Mates).
When Deborah was 3, her mother divorced her father,
who was a member of organized crime, her mother
remarried a man who was mentally and physically
abusive when she was 4. Although she grew up in
a nice neighborhood in Chicago she still lived in
a lot of fear and violence, Finley said.
When she was 15, Deborah was sitting on the couch
next to her father when a man walked into the room
and murdered him with a shot gun. She was untouched.
That's not natural, she said. It's supernatural

She wanted nothing to do with God,thinking he was
the author of the bad.She continued down a dark
destructive road where she saw God as cruel,
then not wanting to believe he was cruel,
she was convinced that there was no God. After a
life changing encounter with God,
her future was transformed from darkness to light.
I found something that's deeper than happiness, which
is joy, that can remain despite your circumstances,
Finley said. It was when Finley realized that God did
not make the bad happen,instead he helps people
through the bad that she began to be rescued.
Where there was sorrow, I now have joy,
where there once was fear, I now have peace,
Where there were hurts, i now have wholeness.
And everyone can do the same and live in a higher
realm of life, Finley said. The book gives a
step by step guide, including a focus on the importance
of laughter, she said. Proverbs says that laughter is
like medicine to your flesh and marrow to your bones
and science agrees. "I believe laughter should be at
the top of your list of things to do so you don't
forget to do it regularly," Finley said.
Says the author,"I hope (readers) will learn of God's love
for them and be drawn to him. I also hope it will cause them
to examine their hearts and let go and let God help them.
Because by yielding themselves to God, their health can improve,
their quality of life can improve, and their future can
become much brighter."The book is filled with a combination
