REFUGE ROCK


Refuge Rock is an alternative to going to the bars and clubs to hear live music. We provide Christian bands a venue to play at while at the same time give people a chance to hear Christian blues and rock. Come see us every Friday at 10:00 pm for quality live music.

YESHUA FIRE has been playing together for about 2 years. They love the Lord and love playing songs that bring Him glory. Their desire is to bring people into the presence of the Lord in their Worship. Some of their music is geared toward winning the lost with lyrics that make them think about their final destination after they leave this life. They play a variety of music that is sure to satisfy just about every kind of taste. Christian Rock/Metal, Blues and Contemporary.

Karen absolutely loves playing her guitar and singing to the Lord. She gets a kick out of playing the Blues and thinks playing Rock is a blast. As far as the Metal goes, well, she thinks it's 'THE BOMB'! :) Her heart is really in the intimate worship, though. Karen is the new Worship Leader at The Refuge in Cedar Rapids and is humbled to be counted worthy of such an honorable service unto the Lord.

Ken and Karen are husband and wife. Ken plays lead guitar, writes songs and sings. God has blessed him with the lyrics and music to many of the Blues and Metal songs. Ken has a studio in the basement of their home and he records their all of their songs. His studio is called Ariel Studios and is now open for business to Christian artists.

Tony is the bass player and also writes songs. He is the bands blues singer and arranger. He loves using his God given talents to bless the Lord. Ken and Tony met at a church almost three years ago and they have been friends ever since.

Yeshua Fire has a desire to reach those in the world who feel they have been dealt a rough hand in life. God is the answer to all their problems and Yeshua Fire's songs point people to the Cross of Christ where there is forgiveness of sin and healing for their heart, mind, body and soul.

10-31-08 Yeshua Fire has a new ministry called the Refuge Rock that is located on 1st Ave. in Cedar Rapids, IA. They are associated with Pastor Danny at The Refuge church. Refuge Rock is in the same building as The Refuge. Yeshua Fire is the house band on Friday nights with their mission to give people an alternative to the bar life. Christian Rock/Blues is played by various bands in the Cedar Rapids area. It is in the beginning stages right now and believe that God is going to do some incredible drawing in their home town.
