THA GIM (pronounced: the gem, meaning: the God In Me)) is a uniquely talented gospel emcee hailing from Fresno, California.
From hip hop clubs to concerts, from churches to music festivals, THA GIM has gone on to gather fans from all walks of life sharing the gospel and the stage with many gospel and hip hop greats from Kirk Franklin to DJ Kool Herc to Point of Grace and more. His last release, Antidote 4 Destruction (7/20/06) garnered rave reviews by both secular and Christian hip hop outlets, being given "Editors' Pick" slots from CD Baby in both "Hip Hop" and "Spiritual Hip Hop" categories, being quoted as the one who "may soon find himself carrying the torch and leading this uprising with his head held high". "Changez", one of the album's stand out tracks is featured on a major release by EMI Gospel; Holy Hip Hop Vol. 4: Taking The Gospel To The Streets. Two other tracks from Antidote 4 Destruction, "Kingdom Affiliate" and "Real Recognize Real" are also featured on Kurtis Blow Presents: The Block Is Hot, also on EMI Gospel. The fall of 2008 marks THA GIM's first national release through Infinity Distribution with his new album called "This Iz My Life".
