my name is christi. i go to millington central high school. i am one out of 8 managers for my school football team. all the players are like my brother and all the coaches are like a dad to me except one(coach dreamy). someone that was really involved with the team actually passed away july 22 2010. he was the dad to one of the coaches and a friend to many. most of all a huge role model to many including me. he took the role of a grandpa for me after mine passed. every home football game i would see his glowing face at the endzone standing proud on the grill watching his team play their hearts out. my parents knew for the longest time that he wasnt doing well. my mom was talking to one of her friends after church one day and i wasnt paying any attention to what she was saying until i heard the name rex waits. she asked her friend if she had heard anything about him and i quickly tuned in. once i heard that i asked my dad for the keys so i could go to the car. when my parents got out there my dad looked at my mom and told her that i hadnt known anything. my mom turned to me and told me sorry for me having to find out that way. i found out 5 days before he passed. it was really hard for me to handle it. papa rex you will never be forgotten. you are forever always in our hearts and forever always at that football field endzone grill. I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!! so please to whoever reads this never take the time you have to spend with someone for granted because you never know if that might be the last time.
