About David Scott & Life Support

The music we play is uniquely ours. We each have music influences, but have tried to not copy what someone else does. Early influences have been Bob Dylan, Gordon Lightfoot, Arlo Guthrie, Tom Paxton, Harry Chapin. The music of the rock group, Kansas, was a big influence. More recent influences are MercyMe, Casting Crowns, Third Day, Chris Tomlin, Darrell Evans, and Jars of Clay.
One of the unique things about our band is the fact that the ages range from fourteen to fifty-seven years old. This tends to put a new twist on old styles and an old twist on new styles.
This band is the result of a 35 year dream. I had a dream to have a band and possibly "make a record" because CD's hadn't been invented yet. All things that are to happen have to have timing. In the case of this CD the timing had to be from God. So, to make a long story a little shorter, we do have a band and we made our first CD after a 35 year wait.

Mark Hulsey-Lead guitar

There are also people not directly in the band, but play a big role in the way we sound when we play. We want to thank our guys that run sound.

Heath Garrison-Sound
You guys are awesome!!!!!!!!!

Also, thanks to all the families of the band for your understanding and prayers!

Hi David,

There's been a lot happening here lately.

First, My new song "Blow, Sweet Spirit" is now on ITunes, Amazon.com AND New Faith Favorites.

Next, I have met two wonderful artists right here on Shoutlife, Michael Robert and Liz Clarke Please drop my site, listen to their music, and then you can go to their site and become their friend too.

Finally, I have a new blog that addresses an element of songwriting--Imagry. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Thanks,

Jim

Don't be a fence sitter!
Mass confusion, mob uproar - in Decision Valley! I call Heaven and Earth to witness against you today: I place before you Life and Death, Blessing and Curse. Choose life so that you and your children will live. Joel 3:14 Deuteronomy 30:19 The Message
I pray that every decision you make is a God-directed decision of Life, leading to His blessings for you.
Blessings,
Susan

He saved us from all that. It was all his doing; we had nothing to do with it. He gave us a good bath, and we came out of it new people, washed inside and out by the Holy Spirit. Titus 3:5 The Message
I pray that you see yourself cleansed - not by your own efforts, but by the grace of your Loving Abba Daddy.
Blessings,
Susan

ALSO A VERSE I DO LOVE IS....."I AM KEPT BY A POWER THAT WORKS IN ME!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I Am a "KEPT" Woman?
You see, there were a few times when I thought I would lose my mind,
But GOD kept me sane. (Isa. 26:3)
There were times when I thought I could go no longer,
But the LORD kept me moving. (Gen 28:15)
At times, I've wanted to lash out at those whom I felt had done me wrong,
But the LORD kept my mouth shut.. (Psa. 13)
Sometimes, I think the money just isn't enough,
But GOD has helped me to keep the lights on, the water on, the car paid, the house paid, etc.., (Matt. 6:25-34)
When I thought I would fall, HE kept me up.
When I thought I was weak, HE kept me strong! (I Pet.. 5:7, Matt. 11:28-30)
I could go on and on and on, but I'm sure you hear me!
I'm blessed to be 'kept '
I'm "Kept" by the Love and Grace of God
The Empty Tomb Pictures, Images and Photos
Here we are at another Easter Sunday almost.. I have been so blessed to be able to travel over and see the empty tomb where Jesus lay... Just a big hole in the ground, dark, cold, empty of any life. But one day many years ago, as the stone was rolled in front of that dark hole, life conquered death, and the grave could not hold the one that lay inside, He arose victorious,He conquered death, hell and the grave and He is seen walking down a dusty road.. ... The greatest victory in my life, is the hole that was in my heart. Many years ago, being spiritually dead, held captive by my sins, feeling confused and rejected, this Son of Man rolled away the stone wall I had built up around my heart, walked in, swept away all the hurt, the confusion, the tears, the fear, took up residence and filled me with His presence. I am so thankful that today as another year rolls around and as we celebrate the risen Savior, that we can all, to as many as have received Him, can lift up hands, lift their voices and rejoice, because as He lives, we shall also live....forever......
Jesus is Risen.......... yesterday in a tomb, today in my heart.....
Be blessed this special Easter week.......
We are loved, we are forgiven, we are His!!!! blessings to my Shoutlife family...... tisha
