About David Scott & Life Support
|
The music we play is uniquely ours. We each have music influences, but have tried to not copy what someone else does. Early influences have been Bob Dylan, Gordon Lightfoot, Arlo Guthrie, Tom Paxton, Harry Chapin. The music of the rock group, Kansas, was a big influence. More recent influences are MercyMe, Casting Crowns, Third Day, Chris Tomlin, Darrell Evans, and Jars of Clay.
One of the unique things about our band is the fact that the ages range from fourteen to fifty-seven years old. This tends to put a new twist on old styles and an old twist on new styles.
This band is the result of a 35 year dream. I had a dream to have a band and possibly "make a record" because CD's hadn't been invented yet. All things that are to happen have to have timing. In the case of this CD the timing had to be from God. So, to make a long story a little shorter, we do have a band and we made our first CD after a 35 year wait.
David Scott-rhythm guitar and vocals
Mark Hulsey-Lead guitar
Cindy Scott-Congas and bongos
Jason Scott-Drums and bass
Kasey Scott-Bass and drums
Jeremy Scott-guitar and backup vocals
There are also people not directly in the band, but play a big role in the way we sound when we play. We want to thank our guys that run sound.
Todd Wester-Sound
Heath Garrison-Sound
You guys are awesome!!!!!!!!!
Also, thanks to all the families of the band for your understanding and prayers!

I know this blog will show up on all of our friend's home page. I need your help if you read this blog. I am putting my cousin, Tisha Todd, who many of you know, and her husband Harold, on the spot. I think it's time for them to consider a trip to Am...

Some of you may know and I'm sure some don't, but I have a prayer request for our son, Jason. He is the drummer in our band. Last May he got some chemicals in his eye that has left him blind in his right eye. He goes to an eye surgeon today to see ab...

Blogs are pretty cool because you can get the word out. "Replies" are nice, but not necessary. "Reads" are what I'm looking for on this blog and then action. We have a friend here that really needs that action to be prayer. I don't know if she is a b...

I sent a message to Tisha, my cousin, whom many of you know on here and asked her to be praying for Jason, our son. He was blinded in one eye last April with some chemicals. Doctors sometimes don't know where the power to heal comes from. As believer...

Hi David,
It doesn't matter whether you're Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, Conservative, or Liturgical you need to be aware of what God is doing in these days through the Messianic movement. The more we understand the roots of our faith in Judaism, the more we can understand what God wants us to know to make that faith grow.
It doesn't matter whether you like rock, country, contemporary, gospel, or hip hop, you need to grow in your musical tastes, and sample the rich tapestry of Messianic Jewish music that is available today. To that end, I would like to introduce you to two amazing Messianic artists, whose musical style is very unique, and totally wonderful.
Deborah Kline-Iantorno's music springs from her Jewish and Puerto Rican roots, and her years as a night club singer. Her songs are exciting, her voice is gorgeous, and the message she brings is right on.
Straight from Jerusalem, Israel, the songs of Rivka Whitten are alive and fresh. Her music is a unique mix of Yemenite Israeli vocals along with rhythms from around the world, and a gifted group of instrumentalists.
Please come on by, and check out a couple of amazing songs that I have put on my page, then you can go to www.newfaithfavorites.com and listen to all of them.
Thanks,
Jim
