Group Members:
Keith Caldwell, lead vocalist/songwriter; Clay Howell, pianist, vocals/songwriter; Judy Weber, vocalist
Influences:
Rodney Atkins' song "Watching You"; Jason Michael Carroll's "Alyssa Lies"; and Annie Tate, Sam Tate, and Dave Berg's song "Moments" recorded by Emerson Drive are three great examples of incredible writers who tell amazing stories that touch people. I also like the Beatles, Gino Vanelli, and (if you've ever met her you'd love her personally as much as her talent) Jennifer Holliday.
Sounds Like:
I do a great impersonation of Johnny Mathis, but for some reason, when people hear me sing, I get asked to sing Josh Groban songs at weddings, and I'm not a high tenor. I do have a classical background, but I have sung in nightclubs for over 20 years singing top 40's tunes of every genre, so I can jump back and forth from country to opera if I want. But I prefer to sing all religious music now.

from Keith...
In August of 2006 I went to my doctor for my annual physical. When the results came back, I was told I was practically months away from dialysis. Finally I went into the hospital in January of 2007 just for a biopsy of my kidney. After 3 biopsies they finally found my disease and began treating me with high dosages of prednisone. I gained 30 pounds, lost most of my hair, and had many other side effects I just won't bore you with. Anyway, after losing my voice to the acid reflux brought on by the high dosages of prednisone, I became severely depressed. Then one day it hit me. God answered my prayers. Since I had to stop teaching, I now had time to work on the album project.

My mother, Julia, raised me to be a good Baptist boy, and always told me that I was meant for the music ministry for the Lord. After trying to be successful in the secular world of musicals, nightclubs, etc. I realized she was right. I had never left the church, but I never could get started on a career in the music ministry. Now I had the time. Clay Howell, my writing partner had also called me up earlier in the year and we had started working a little, but at that rate it would have taken years to finish the album. We prayed a lot, read the Bible A LOT (almost all of our songs are Biblically based), and we started working. My voice was barely back when I recorded the first four songs in Garland, Texas with Mick McClain at McClain's Recordings. We finished the album in December and the first 1,000 CD's arrived January 7, 2008.

I have sent my mother every scratch vocal we recorded prior to submission for the album and have been thrilled when she reports to me how the ladies in her Bible studies at her house every Tuesday, tell her how each song has lyrics that are a blessing to them. Who could ask for anything more?

As for my new album, "A God of Second Chances", in January 2007, Clay Howell and I began working to include most of the songs in the Easter musical we had written together in 1998. We started writing together again in September 2007 and submitted 12 more songs to Tommy Smith, recording artist/producer for consideration for the album project. Six of the songs on the CD are ones that were written just prior to the album release. My first single from this album, "If Christ Was Never Born," has already hit the radio waves and was submitted to over 500 radio stations nation wide. My first big release will be in February with "Come Hungry To His Banquet Table" to over 2,400 radio stations worldwide. I sing in various churches in the Houston area as guest soloist each Sunday, but my home church is Christian Life Center on I59 and Rankin Road.

Currently, I am performing a concert tour to promote ""A God of Second Chances,"" which has already taken me to Branson, Missouri in December 2007, and a Carnival Cruise in January 2008 with Gospel recording artist Gary R. Smith and award winning songwriter and business partner, Clayton B. Howell.

Good Morning, God Bless You and have a wonderful weekend.

MY GOD IS A GOD OF MIRACLES
I have sung songs of all kind ever since I learned to talk.
Never have I been very confident in speaking.
I have to admit that the Lords Holy Spirit has spoke to many through me while ministering in song, and I am thankful.
My love is all for Jesus, and I am thankful that everyday I am learning and falling deeper in love with Him every day.
It still takes my breath away to think back at all the times God intervened in my life, even before I gave myself to Him. He saw me as what I could be and saved my life many times.
I have had several people tell me that God does not perform miracles anymore {including my pastor}. I always thought with out speaking out loud,"You must not know the Jesus I know". I was always afraid to speak up.
1Co 12:28 In the church God has appointed first apostles, next prophets, third teachers, then those who perform miracles, then those who have the gift of healing, then those who help others, those who are managers, and those who can speak in a number of languages.
My first memory of my own experience of the love and precious mercy of Jesus was when I was five years old. "I won't get into details here - I'll write it in my blog because it is so important for ALL PEOPLE to know NOW what Jesus has done in my life and the lives of others around me.
So please take a moment to read my blog today.
I pray that you will receive a blessing just from knowing that Jesus IS REAL and YES! PRAISE HIM! HE DOES STILL DO MIRACLES TODAY!
