Some people have a link to God that is truly unique. Often, these people are seen even by other believers as fanatics, freaks, or just plain odd -- maybe even dangerous. The sad thing is, they're right.
Prophets have always been isolated loners, even from days of old. Think of Noah, Elijah, John, the Baptist. Even Moses, though he was raised as Egyptian royalty and surrounded by family and courtiers, as soon as he realized who he really was and joined his people to serve out his pre-destined mission, was, though superficially respected, personally ostracized.
Most people don't want to hear the Truth. No matter how Christian they think they are, no matter how potent or innocuous the particular information, no matter how personal or relevant, people will always naturally repel away from God's perfect truth. This leaves prophets (who are NOT perfect people themselves) without friends, and often without family. Or, more often than not, with fair-weather friends and obligatory blood-relative ties; people who take treasure, give garbage, and leave.
Welcome, God's own anointed and ordained Truth-tellers! You may think of this group as your Kingdom (Real) friends and family; a prophet support group!
I hope we all become best friends! I think we need it.
