Okay, I feel obliged to completing this for serious! So here goes a bunch of random facts about me that no one really cares to know, slammed together in a nearly incoherent manner! (Ask me about incoherence someday, I had an interesting epiphany about the matter once.)
As I am sure you have noticed by now, my name is Blair. I typically go by "Emi-san" on the internetz, but either title suits me just fine. I was born, and live, in Tennessee. (Whoooooooooo. >.>) I can't complain though. It could be worse. Right?!
I am a Christian, but not in the "slam a Bible over your head" sense. I love God, and I try to live according to the standards set in the Bible. I don't have those immense expectations for people that a lot of folks I know harness. My religious convictions are mine to keep, not press on everyone I meet.
I adore art. It is second in my existence only to oxygen. I find myself able to appreciate things that others look at with confusion, or even disgust...
Regardless of the stigma placed upon it, I am a gamer. The real kind. And by real kind, I mean the kind that knows - without a doubt - that Halo is so overrated.
Nearly every interest I hold is centered around my love and adoration of Japan. From studying the country and peoples' history, to being an avid anime "otaku", all the way to learning the language, I am completely engrossed. ...buy me plane tickets?
I just happen to be one of those insane animal lovers. I don't think I could function on a day-to-day basis without the interaction of animals. My family is quite abundantly blessed with animals, too. We currently share our home with three dogs, a cat, three separate tanks for our exotic fish, a rooster, two turkeys, four guinea fowl, a Mallard duck, and a Banny chick. We also have twenty-one rabbits, a hamster, and a rat. All of our pets are immensely loved!
I practice a vegetarian lifestyle - not because I think it's "bad" to eat animals, but because I oppose the meat industry's practices. In regards to the conditions of life and death for the animals, as well as the negligence expressed towards the workers of the industry. For a closer look at the corruption found in this vital industry, as well as the morbidly wicked fast food industry, I recommend reading Fast Food Nation, by Eric Schlosser.
I have been a home schooled student since starting the fifth grade. I graduated in the top twenty percent of my class and even got to go to a real prom. (I hated it. -shudders-) I will be a college freshman this year, and am happy to carry out my college career at the University of Memphis. I will be an art major, concentrating in Photography]. I will also study Japanese, and hope to receive a Japanese minor.
And...err...for now, that's all. It should give you enough to work with...I will add more later! ^-^"
