No sunshine here today! :-( The cold of winter is coming closer each day. The jackets are out and it's time to start simmer the chili to enjoy along with the flying snow, which will soon arrive for those of us who live in a cold climate. For those blessed with year round warmth and sunshine what can I say, except I do hope the invitation is in the mail! LOL. :-))))))))

Facing the dragon head on is necessary, if we desire to win against him. No running from him and crumbling in defeat when things get rough. And temptation astronomically mounts to entice us to accept a way other than that of our Father. We are commanded to confidently refuse and walk above the will of the adversary. Above the entire host of principalities and powers, which are arrayed against us, for the sole purpose of keeping us from the truth of who we have become in Christ our Lord. Christ who disarmed them and made a public spectacle of them, in His triumphing over them. Colossian 2:15, 6:12. The Lord repeatedly admonishes us to take our stand on the word of the Father and triumphantly walk on in the victory of the cross. Psalm 91:13; Luke 10:19; Mark 16:17. The devil is fully aware of what will happen if the church ever gets her act together, confronts him and holds him in submission to the Father's will. By refusing to back down and give in to him and the powers of his kingdom under any circumstances. Jesus stood firmly against satan face to face in the wilderness of His temptation, held His ground and walked away a winner over him. And now that we are in Christ and him in us, we are empowered and commanded to do the same. Both satan and Jesus knew who He was in the Father. But satan knew if He could get Jesus to doubt who He was, he could defeat Him. See Matthew 4:1-11. That is what he did to Adam and Eve. He deceived Eve into believing that she would be better off without God in charge of her life. He intentionally didn't mention that without God that she and Adam were nothing. He omitted to tell them that he would become their new master and that they would be his slaves and subject to his will. Imposing and threatening is the master of evil. Pressuring and sweet-talking us into giving up our place as God's heirs to do his evil bidding. And all the principalities and powers under him, in the spiritual realm are mercilessly making every effort to coerce, intimidate, and persuade us to fear them. They are terrified that we will become the bold overcoming conquerors that we are meant to be, instead of becoming whimpering doubters shaking in our boots at every roar of their temptation. They don't want us to think that we can hold our own against them, much less defeat them. But we can! And God says we must. Yes, satan will often present himself as sweet, loving and looking out for you! He will come to you as an angel of light brilliantly shinning, with the gusto of his evilness hidden under the facade of his glory before the day of his rebellion. At the very same time he is stealing the benefits of your inheritance, destroying your life physically, emotionally and materially. And as you wither away in pain, heartache and disappointment, he is rallying his troops for an even greater conquest for his kingdom among God's people. Understand that no sympathy will ever come from the sphere of influence which radiates from these evil beings. They are out to rip you apart, tear you to pieces, then chew you up and spit you out, right smack dab in the middle of the lake of fire. Failing that they will dog you with the intensity of an unleashed lion that is hungry and seeking prey to devour and feed the evil desires of their heart. They know their destiny. And they want to see that those whom God loves never fines out that they can actually live in victory over them, by the almighty power of God Himself, which is available to those who love and believe that they, can glorify God by doing, just as Jesus did. What Jesus had, you now have! While it is God's will for us to walk free of their power and influence, it is we who must take the initiative. And step into our place of authority over them by fearlessly refusing to give up our freedom to serve our Lord as He served the Father. If we allow doubt concerning God's word to creep into our thinking we are already defeated. We may not understand all of God's ways but if we refuse to budge from the truth of His word, love God with every fiber of our being, and our neighbor as ourselves, we are firmly established and stationed in the winning position. As we remain immovable concerning God's word the angels of heaven will go into action assisting, and encouraging us. As we enforcing the defeat that Jesus accomplished on our behalf upon them. Hebrews 1:14. Yes, we live in a fallen world of decay and destruction, but we don't have to march defeated to the tune of a fallen angel. An unemployed archangel who has fallen into ill repute and is constantly on the prowl seeking whom he may devour and take down with Him. satan is trying frantically to prolong his trip to that lake of fire, which burns with sulfur and brimstone forever and ever. And the only way he can do this is to keep you from living in the fullness of who you are in Christ. He is seeking desperately to destroy the ability of the body of Christ to accomplish their purpose, because when they do, the days of his running to and fro in the earth seeking to steal, kill and destroy will be over. John 10:10. And He will be confined to his eternal destination where there is no vacation time and no days off. No golden parachute for him, only a life of torture and regret. God has now fully disclosed the mystery of His will for us so that we may understand it and apply it to all of life's situations. Ephesians 1:1:9. He did this with the full intentions of our making known His manifold wisdom to the principalities and powers in heavenly places. Ephesians 3:10. This was His eternal purpose and He accomplished it in Christ. And now we must take our place, as bold descendants of the King. As children who have been given access to the almighty power, knowledge, and wisdom of heaven. And who confront and face the enemy and his threats of problems, heartache and destruction with confidence and faith that our Father is on our side and will see that Jesus victory is credited to all those who stand unwaveringly in His likeness. God's awesome plan is to DISPLAY US, His body, before all that engage in evil. We are the vehicle by which He has chosen to transport and demonstrate to all the world what He has already accomplished in Jesus cross experience and made available to all who will believe and accept it.
