Utopia (2007)
Utopia is an album based on the concept of this virtual reality we all call the Internet. Although a wonderful tool in so many ways, it has the tendency to create unrealistic expectations about life by flashing in front of us this opulent, synthetic and surreal existence which is only a big illusion composed of pixels and compressed energy. The songs from Utopia are all related to the subject of fabricated fantasies created by the web.

Amazon MP3: Utopia from Breck Stewart
Breck Stewart is an actor and singer who also worked behind the scenes as cameraman, editor, director and producer. He formed a duo Frenzia which broke up before the release of their first album. He decided to pursue his singer and songwriter aspirations and released his first solo effort called Utopia in 2007. It contains 16 songs including a remix from Andrew Flint. The sound is described as Electronic Dance music with a Pop Edge.
He also shot several episodes of a new show called MoonDaze TV where he talks about several cultural icons in a relaxed manner. And he is very active in the fight against DRM technology which can rob customers of their rights of fair use. Digital Rights Management is a process integrated in several digital files, Operating system Vista and Blu-Ray Discs created specifically to control what consumers do with their products. The song Be Integrated and the accompanying video were constructed to promote the fight against that destructive technology which already affects so many of us.
Don't let them take away your digital freedom. Say No to DRM.

Well, this one sure took a long time to complete. I started to work on the concept of Be Integrated back in early 2007 but somehow it went on the backburner for a long while before I was able to put my vision on the screen. So many things happened ...

Hey, Breck! So happy to meet you here at Shoutlife! (Are you related to the Brecks who send me tulip bulbs every spring! LOL)
I'm looking forward to getting to know you better as I learn more about you and your work.
When you get a minute, I hope you'll pop over to my Shoutlife profile and my web site to see what the good Lord has had me doing since He convinced me to trade my guitar and microphone for a computer.
I pray that He will shower you and those you love with abundant joy and amazing success!
Big warm hugs to you, my new Shoutlife friend!
Eyes on Him,
(1 Corinthians 10:13)
Loree
